The book tried its best to come of as “woke” and even tried to show that the character are woke but other than mentioning some serious topics fleetingly we never really find out our protagonist’s view on anything.Ĭoming to the protagonists, Frances, I have never seen someone so naive and immature and stupid. ![]() It was realistic and the characters had depth, but it felt as if the author was forcing all these traits on them. Maybe the fact that I went in with expectations made me come to this conclusion, but this book left me confused and annoyed. I heard a lot about this book from a lot of people and magazines before I decided to read it for myself, you can call it a rant and I’m not over exaggerating when I say by far the stupidest book I’ve read. ![]()
